It's time to recharge our batteries
After eighteen months of non-stop work to forge some new tools and organising a dozen initiatives to engage them, the IMAXI Cooperative is taking a needed break. Unplugged and disconnected. As we are driven only by patients who volunteer, and without any funding or resources other than whats in our own pockets, the Cooperative is now having a well deserved 'retreat' for the next few weeks to recharge our energies and plan the coming year. During this time, it will not be possible to sign-up new accounts on our website, www.imaxi.org as our moderators are all off-line. Our twitter platforms and facebook will also be on 'hold'. We'll be back in the new year, recharged and wired up to move forward in 2012. We wish all our members, friends and supporters a warm, healthy and happy holiday season.

MeetUpMondays: Back on Monday...
MeetUpMondays will return after a recharge and reorganisation on Monday 16 January (MLK Day). IMAXI is bringing together a dynamic 'new and improved' non stop series of twitter chats in a fresh and friendly ambiance - a great place to meet up and discuss health issues. Good works need resources
I have looked thru many of the posts on this site from the start until recent and there are so many excellent articles and comments. All the events like MeetUpMondays and all the work done to relay the UN and WHO high level meetings show a consistent effort to make participation in health easier for everyone. But i think that volunteers alone cant really insure a longterm plan of action. I recommend that the Cooperative begin to search some resources so that a small staff can be recruited. After 18 months, good works need resources and the coreteam deserves a holiday.

IMAXI Recharge Update: ReBound+ReWire+ReNew = Ready 2012
This week, we're holding a series of ongoing meetings of the Board of IMAXI Cooperative Trust (India). These online discussions are helping to finalise the plan for a productive 2012. In resume, while further developing IMAXI Cooperative global initiatives, we will pilot three regional and local social mobilisation via social media projects. (Mobile-ised!)
